A Deep Blue and Organic Accent Palette

Urban Fitouts delivered the complete fitout of two office tenancies for Stoddart at 2 Westlink Court, Darra, transforming a combined 686 sqm into contemporary, functional workplaces designed to support productivity, collaboration and the day-to-day needs of staff.
The project encompassed a comprehensive fitout across both tenancies, incorporating front-of-house areas, meeting rooms, boardrooms, private offices, utilities and open-plan workstations. Each space was carefully considered to balance practical workplace requirements with a cohesive design approach, creating professional environments that feel welcoming, comfortable and connected.
Through a considered combination of material selections, integrated furniture and architectural detailing, the fitout introduces warmth and character while maintaining the functionality required for a modern office. The result is a pair of well-resolved workplaces that accommodate a variety of working styles and provide dedicated spaces for focused tasks, meetings and informal collaboration.
Design Direction
Sophisticated and Neutral Palette
The design combines rich teal-blue feature walls, warm natural timber and soft stone finishes to create a sophisticated, contemporary workplace with a strong sense of identity. A layered material palette balances bold architectural elements with understated neutrals, while curved joinery, rounded shelving and sculptural furniture introduce softness and fluidity throughout the space.
Dark patterned carpet and deep navy upholstery ground the scheme, complemented by warm timber detailing, bronze accents and carefully integrated lighting. Natural greenery adds texture and vitality, creating a connection to nature that softens the overall aesthetic.
The result is a cohesive, welcoming environment that feels polished and professional without sacrificing comfort, bringing together material contrast, organic forms and considered detailing to create a distinctive workplace experience.

First Impressions Through Thoughtful Design
The front-of-house and breakout areas establish a welcoming atmosphere, combining comfortable furnishings with bold architectural features and natural elements. A striking floor-to-ceiling green wall creates a focal point within the space, complemented by deep blue finishes, warm timber detailing and decorative feature lighting. Soft lounge seating and sculptural marble-look coffee tables provide a relaxed setting for informal meetings and staff interaction. An adjoining kitchenette and communal table further enhance the flexibility of the space, encouraging connection and collaboration throughout the working day.
A Layered Palette of Materials and Textures
A cohesive material palette brings together deep blues, warm timber tones, soft stone-inspired finishes and contrasting patterned carpet to establish a contemporary workplace with a distinctive identity. The darker feature walls provide depth, while lighter joinery and natural timber introduce warmth and balance.
Architectural detailing plays an important role throughout the project. Curved joinery and rounded furniture forms soften the interiors, contrasting with the geometric ceiling features and structured workstation layouts. Textured surfaces, decorative lighting and carefully selected furniture add further layers of interest, creating a refined aesthetic without compromising everyday practicality.
These finishes establish a consistent design language across both tenancies, connecting the entry waiting areas, boardroom and workspaces through complementary materials, tones and detailing.

A Boardroom with Character
The boardroom combines formal meeting functionality with a relaxed setting for collaboration. A floor-to-ceiling green wall creates a striking focal point, complemented by deep blue finishes, warm timber detailing and soft lounge seating.
Curved teapoint joinery with a light stone-look finish softens the space, while sculptural coffee tables and suspended timber ceiling detailing add character and visual interest. Together, these elements create a distinctive boardroom that balances professional functionality with a welcoming, contemporary aesthetic.
Boardroom Teapoint
The adjoining teapoint features curved joinery and a light stone-look finish, softening the architectural lines and providing a practical amenity within the room. Open shelving, decorative objects and carefully positioned lighting contribute to the layered, contemporary aesthetic.
Workspaces Designed Around Functionality
Across both tenancies, the fitout incorporates open-plan workstations, private offices, meeting rooms and supporting amenities to accommodate a variety of working requirements. The workstation areas feature light timber finishes, acoustic privacy screens and ergonomic seating, providing an organised and practical setting for focused work.
Acoustic screens help define individual work areas within the open-plan environment, offering a degree of separation while retaining a connected workplace layout. Private offices and enclosed meeting spaces provide additional flexibility for confidential discussions, concentrated tasks and team collaboration.
Generous perimeter glazing allows natural light to flow into the work areas, contributing to a brighter and more open atmosphere. Combined with considered furniture layouts and supporting utilities, these spaces provide a functional foundation for daily operations while maintaining visual consistency with the broader interior design.
