Transport House, Tenancy B
A moody restoration of a Fortitude Valley heritage landmark
Tasked with transforming the Fortitude Valley’s Transport House, Urban set out to convert Tenancy B into a sleek and modern space, while still embracing the traditional features.
A lighter, neutral palette was employed across the 244-square-metre premise, which contrasts against the darker adjacent tenancies. The opulent entry-way sets a moody ambience for the tenancy, with feature wall lighting, mirrors, a custom reception desk and an informal seating area. The black exposed ceiling maintains a sense of space, while lush greenery and free-standing storage units subtly zones the open-plan layout.
The new kitchen boasts premium finishes and fixtures, including stone-look benchtops, penny-rounds splashback tiles, bench seating and polished concrete flooring. The refurbished boardroom and hot-desking workstations provide flexibility and diversity.
